*Fogel, Bruce, D.V.M.,
THE
ENCYCLOPEDIA OF THE DOG
(The best thing about this book is the pictures. Full color; and some of the
expressions on the dogs' faces are priceless. Presents hundreds of breeds,
many of whom are rare, ones you probably have never heard of. This book is
where we first learned about the Caucasian Ovtcharka. (Although, I am sorry
to say, in his latest edition, he uses the incorrect term "mountain dog" to
refer to our breed.)
